CNN host Dana Bash appeared to become exasperated during a Friday on-air discussion about former President Donald Trump’s rise in swing state polling.

Bash discussed recent polling in Michigan and Pennsylvania, where Trump is leading in the Great Lakes State and is tied in the Keystone State with President Joe Biden on most major issues, including the Israel-Hamas war.

She noted that should Trump win both of those states, Biden could not afford to lose “Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, Wisconsin, or Nebraska’s second congressional district, or he will not win the White House.”

Bash expressed shock that the only two issues where Biden was leading were  “abortion and democracy.”

“Then you look at other issues: U.S and world affairs, economy, immigration, Israel/Gaza, Trump has an advantage and it’s actually- if you look at the Israel-Gaza question, the fact that Trump has a 20-point advantage in Michigan. I mean, the world is upside down,” she said.

CNN’s David Chalian suggested that Trump’s strength in Michigan may be due to the dissatisfaction of the state’s Muslim and Arab American populations with Biden’s stance on Israel rather than enthusiasm for Trump’s policies.

“But I think that finding probably explains a lot of Joe Biden’s troubles in Michigan right now as well,” Chalian, the network’s political director, added.

“I mean, it’s obviously an issue that we saw in the primary where the uncommitted vote against him, we see young voters, independents, people who have been affiliated with this, calling for a ceasefire movement, very frustrated with the president and his policies, and so that’s clearly partly at play here in Michigan,” he said.

“Yeah. No question,” Bash replied. “But it’s hard to imagine that Donald Trump will be any more sympathetic to what’s going on in Gaza than Joe Biden is, which is what is so surprising.”

“It has nothing to do with their actual policy positions, right, necessarily or what he’s proposing,” he said.

In February’s Democratic primary in Michigan, 100,000 people voted “uncommitted” as a warning to the current president.

A major GOP donor who was initially backing Ron DeSantis has now begun to throw millions in financial support behind Trump following the Florida governor’s exit from the Republican primaries, The Epoch Times reports.

In February, MAGA Inc. received several million-dollar contributions, including the largest one from the biggest donor of Mr. DeSantis’s campaign for the GOP nomination. According to FEC records, on February 9th, aerospace and real estate mogul Robert Bigelow made a $5 million donation to MAGA Inc., the outlet reported.

The outlet noted further:

On March 20, various committees associated with former President Donald Trump published their financial reports with the Federal Election Commission reflecting their February activities.

The three organizations that issued a monthly report on March 20—the principal campaign committee Donald J. Trump for President 2024 Inc., the qualified leadership PAC Save America, and the super PAC Make America Great Again Inc.—reported they collectively had about $63.1 million in cash on hand at the end of February.

The three groups, as a whole, raised about $28.7 million in total receipts and sent out about $22 million in total disbursements.

Bigelow, the founder, president, and program manager of Bigelow Aerospace, a company based in North Las Vegas, Nevada, donated $20 million to Never Back Down Inc., a super PAC that supported DeSantis in 2023. He also sent $10 million to a Florida-based political account that supported DeSantis in 2022.

Bigelow is the president of Your Best Management Group LLC, which owns Budget Suites of America. In 2023, he indicated he would switch his support to Trump after becoming disillusioned with DeSantis’ candidacy.
